Hilde Coeckx focuses her practice on patent prosecution and related counseling. Hilde’s formal technical background is in biotechnology. She holds a BS in Chemical Engineering and Master of Science (MS) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Hilde attained her JD from Lewis and Clark Law School. She is licensed to practice in Oregon and registered as a patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Hilde began her patent career as a trainee at an intellectual property firm in Belgium. She has since worked in both large and small law firm settings. The technical scope of Hilde’s patent experience includes mechanical devices, footwear, sporting goods, medical devices, and solar and wind energy related technologies. Her patent experience encompasses both domestic and international filings and prosecution of utility, design, and plant patent applications with the USPTO. She is a member of the American Intellectual Property Association (AIPLA), Oregon State Bar Intellectual Property Section and Oregon Patent Law Association. Hilde’s native language is Dutch. She is also conversant in German and French.
